I couldn't help but notice all the dissapointed faces after Civil War ended. What's a matter? I mean, did you honestly think Captain America was going to decapitate Tony Stark? He's the symbol of America...and Americans never kill in the name of all that is decent.
Right?
Right?
Yeah. Didn't think so.
To bad Civil War didn't have an anti-registration patriot like John Horus. Horus was part of a government created Super-Team of scientist (think the Fantastic Four) but after years and years of being a government lackey, Horus starts to look critically at the system that bred him. What does he do? He pop's the President Bush's head like a pimple, slaughters his immediate administration and then does his own "State of the Union," proclaiming the importance of morality over greed, and the true nature of the greater good. His actions not only causes a panic but forces his fellow superheroes to go into hiding because the government wants them all rounded up and held accountable (sounds familiar, right?).
Writer, Warren Ellis creates a real Civil War that's anything but "Civil." A fast-paced chase movie in comic book form where the good guys are equally wrong and right and the lines are drawn immediately because the circumstances outweigh anything the "New Warriors" could cause.
Captain America didn't decapitate any Capitalist but John Horus will do it in the first two pages.
